Kettles Yard review

On thursday when we went on our little tour of museums in cambridge we visited The Fitzwilliam and the contemporary art gallery. Our last stop was at Kettles yard where we looked through the gallery and we looked at the different art pieces around the gallery and the finally we went through the little house which was the main reason we were at kettles yard. We walked round the house and looked at all the different rooms, we were not permitted to sit on the chairs on lay on the beds because it was art.

But the exhibition was very impressive and it was a lot more relaxed than the fitzwilliam or the contempery art gallery.

Scene project

So far i have done a report/article on the footlights in cambridge. The article is about the history of the footlights and who has performed there over the years, and i wrote about the drama scene thats going on in cambridge. Also i have done a lot of internet research on the fitzwilliam museum in cambridge.

What i can do differently is to visit these places like the fitzwilliam and the adc thereatre, and find out more and get an interview with people who work there.

What im going do to next is to find out more and do more research on theses places, like go there and find out other stuff that is not on the internet.

Junction, 11.3.10

Yesterday at the junction we were put into pairs and were given six sheets of paper with six different jobs at the junction that we had to apply for and write out a Cv for. Also we would have to be interviewed for whatever position we applied for. This was the perfect opportunity to ask the staff at the junction how they got into this business and what they get out of it and weather or not they take pride in there job and if they enjoy it. The post i went for was the music and comedy programmer, and i was interviewed by the person who does that at the junction currently. I found out a bunch of stuff and all my questions were answered and i asked more questions as i went along. The interview went well and if im honest i reckon i would have got the job.

Dress Rehersal

Yesterday we had our last rehearsal for our samba performance that we are preparing for next week. Yesterday when we got playing you could hear the difference in the playing because each week the group has got better and better, each member of the group now has a set instrument. Also yesterday we were having our dress rehearsal, so we got to see our costumes that we would be wearing for the performance. The costume consisted of the cram t-shirt with "Cramba" printed onto the back of the shirt. And we had our own masks made by the design team. In terms of the costumes being a success i might have to disagree because of the size of the masks, because some people in the group have big heads and the size of the masks arent that big, the t-shirts are good and we all look good.

I think overall the actual rehearsal went really well i think its the best we've performed, well i think we've gotten better every week since we first started doing the samba. And in the week as a class we have been performing well, with my graphics team we finished everything very quickly. If there was anything else i could change it would be that as a team we designed the logo or the posters and get them sorted out quicker. But all in all we did everything quite well and in the band we're going from strength to strength.

samba-design team evaluation

For this project i am on the graphic design team and i am the leader, The members of my team are Katie, Matt, Jasmine, Stephen, Nathan and myself. What we have been asked to do for this project is to design a logo for the band and also come up with a band name. For the name we devised a little chart so that the class could decide what the name of the band should be. We shortlisted the names down to four, and they were Cramba, Cram Sam, Saucy Samba and Super Samba.
Results:
Cramba-10
Saucy Samba-6
Super Samba-2
Cram Sam-0

campaign day results

My plan for my campaign was to go out into cambridge and get as many signatures as i could possibly want. All that change when the weather changed and i had to get back to college. Instead i got people from my class to sign the petition because they knew what my campaign was all about.
On campaign day i got thirteen signatures and seeing the other peoples results on campaign that was an average amount of signatures. I thought that was a decent amount of signatures  to get and i was happy that i got that amount. And yes i think i raised some awareness of my campaign and i'll put the results of the petition on my Facebook to show the members the results.

The things i would do differently would be to ask more people that i didn't know instead of people n my class who know all about my campaign, and probably talk more about it in a more persuasive manner.
